Reliance NetConnect Broadband data card - checking usage

The solution works on April 17, 2010.

So I bought a reliance netconnect broadband data card for my wife. I wanted to check the usage and encountered many different problems. Especially the default method of using your datacard number (starting with 093) and password '123456' did not work.

Here is what you need to do.

1. Find your data card number, the one which starts with 093. This should be on the box you got with the data card.
2. Go to the reliance webpage and look for the registration page for the netconnect data card registration.
3. You will need to creat a login, and a password. You will need a valid email address and a mobile number.
4. Use the mobile number you have (not the data card number). Use an email address which you can check.
5. After registering you can login.
6. After logging in, you can add the data card number starting from 093 in the service.
7 Here you have two options. If you have the customer account number and the billing account number then add the number starting with 093 and register. Otherwise add it with 93 (remove the zero). They will send you the validation PIN on the mobile number you used to register. After putting in the PIN you are good to go.

Hope it helps.
